Getting to your OD relay is a pain, since I sell guaranteed used OD/fuel realy and voltage regulator sets I have to test relays on a regular basis.  Removing the glovebox every time was wearing out the screw holes.  A quick fix was to relocate the relay to where you can get at it by just removing the pad over the passenger's knees.
Remove the glovebox (for the last time) and the fasteners holding the side of the center console.  Pull the console away from the frame to expose the screw (1) this is where the relay is grounded.  Remove screw with stubby philips driver and take off the ground wire.  Cut back the sheath of the harness about 1" where the wires to the relay come out (2)

Here you can see where the relay now lives.  Reattach the ground wire at the screw (3).   Access is simple, just remove the quick fasteners at the front of the cover over the leg area and there it is.  I used a zip tie to secure the wires to a nearby harness to keep it from flopping around.
